- First time LeoVegas dips its toe into expanding US market
- Company will use its proprietary platform, Rhino
- New Jersey currently has the largest online casino market in the US

Online casino brand LeoVegas, the self-styled “King of Casino”, has revealed it is venturing into the US for the first time.
The company is in partnership with Caesars Interactive to launch in New Jersey and expects to welcome customers for the first time in early 2022.
New Jersey was the first state to take online gambling seriously and is the largest online casino market in the US. In 2020, total revenues for the state’s online casinos were $970 million. Some analysts predict it could reach as high as $3 billion in 2026.
Tax boost for local community
Online casino operators in New Jersey – population nine million – pay 17.5% tax on gross gaming revenue, providing a handsome income for the state to spend on educational and community projects.
Gustaf Hagman, Group CEO LeoVegas, said: “We are proud to finally be able to share our plans to establish ourselves in the USA. We think the time and partner are right to launch ‘The King of Casino’ in the USA.
“The American market has immense growth potential, and players are just now discovering online gaming. In the USA, too, we will focus on what we are best at – offering an innovative, world-class gaming experience directly on mobile phones.
“Establishing ourselves with our proprietary platform is a strategic decision, and we know from other markets that having full control over our technology is a key competitive advantage.”
Rhino tech
LeoVegas will use its Rhino proprietary technology platform. Rhino currently handles ten brands and is licensed in seven jurisdictions. It has over 60 game integrations with casino game providers, including Royal Panda and BET UK.
