Microgaming powers Wheelz casino for Rootz

  • Microgaming provides content for Wheelz casino
  • Company also provides titles for Rootz’ Wildz and Caxino brands
  • 125 games added to the initial launch
  • David Hasselhoff fronts Wheelz marketing

Microgaming has cemented its strategic partnership with online casino operator Rootz by adding its gaming catalogue to another brand.

The recently launched Wheelz casino, which is fronted by former Baywatch and Knight Rider star David Hasselhoff, will now feature Microgaming titles.

Initially, there will be 125 games from the Isle of Man content aggregator, but more are expected to be added in the future.

New Slots Available

Wheelz is the third Rootz online casino that Microgaming is powering. Already, the successful Wildz and Caxino brands use content from the vast portfolio of games coming out of Microgaming’s independent studios.

Some of the company’s most recent titles are available on Wheelz, including Golden Stallion and Diamond King Jackpots from Northern Lights Gaming and SpinPlay Games.

Rootz celebrated the launch of its third casino by appointing showbiz legend, The Hoff as the brand ambassador. He is expected to star in future TV ads while appearing in his own dedicated bonus game at Wheelz.

Hasselhoff said: “If I had to pick a favourite casino game, it would definitely be craps.” Just as well, then, that craps is just one of many dealer-dealt live games available at Wheelz, which has a license from the Malta Gaming Authority.

‘Top-Rated Casino Experience’

Microgaming’s Head of Partnerships, Neil Bancroft said: “We are thrilled to extend our successful partnership with Rootz, an operator which has found the formula when it comes to delivering a top-rated casino experience for its players.

“Its state-of-the-art technology couple with Microgaming’s cast content offering makes for a winning partnership.

“Wheelz has what it takes to become a firm player favourite, and with David Hasselhoff as the face of the brand, it will do so with added glitz and a little Hollywood glamour.”

Lasse Rantala, the CEO of Rootz, added: “Microgaming has been instrumental in the success we have enjoyed with our first two online casino bands, Wildz and Caxino.

“Given our rapid growth, expectations are high for Wheelz, and with the support of Microgaming and its market-leading content, we are confident the brand will be as successful as its sister sites.

“I’d like to thank Microgaming for the support and assistance its team has provided Rootz to date and look forward to even greater success now that Wheelz is live to players in markets around the world.”

There is no word yet on exactly how Wheelz will use Hasselhoff. It has already released the image we have used in this article, but we expect the Hoff to feature heavily in TV and digital marketing at some point soon to appeal to a global audience.
